Vanessa attained her Bachelor's with Honours in Psychology at Nanyang Technological University, and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy at New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, Middlesex University.

Vanessa has served in the social service sector for the past four years, working with different population groups such as children and youth in residential settings who have experienced multiple traumas, as well as with neurodiverse children and their caregivers who experience emotional, psychological, and behavioural challenges. Vanessa’s interest extends to adults who are experiencing challenges coping with everyday life.

Vanessa seeks to provide a safe and warm therapeutic space for the individual to explore difficult and painful experiences. She is trained in different therapeutic approaches and frameworks such as Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART), Social Thinking Training, Bowen's Family Systems Therapy and Narrative Therapy, family assessments and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT). She draws from her professional experience, together with knowledge from different therapeutic approaches and theories, to tailor interventions according to an individual’s needs.

Vanessa works with late-adolescents and adults using a trauma-informed lens in the following areas:

Vanessa is passionate about learning and providing the best practices from the leaders in the field of psychotherapy through trainings, supervision, personal therapy to better able to provide the tools and skills to empower the client and journey with the client through the process of self-discovery to lead a more meaningful life.

Being half Italian, she is able to understand the language, which may be helpful for Italian speaking clients who may find it difficult to express themselves fully in English. She is available for therapy on Saturdays (except Public Holidays) for either in-person or Telehealth sessions.
