Moira's Approach

Moira specialises in helping clients through their school and work related stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem and phobias. She strives to create a non-judgemental and safe space for her clients. She believes that every client has different needs and tailors her approach to them. Her previous work experience at a student care centre helped her to discover her interest in understanding how one’s childhood can affect their life as an adult. She works with the client to find the root cause and tailoring the therapy goals and solution to their needs. Her clients’ targeted outcomes are to be in touch with their emotions and mental resilience.

Moira's Background

Moira previously worked in a student care centre and has experience working with parents and adolescents. During her time there, she realised that children are quite aware of their own emotions but need help in finding the words to express them. She felt drawn to creating a safe space for the children there to experience and understand their emotions. She uses her previous work experience in her practice by creating a calm and open space for her clients.

Moira is also a Filipino who grew up in Singapore and stayed in touch with her roots through her parents and relatives. She is familiar with the difficulties of growing up as a second generation immigrant and uses this to formulate her therapeutic approach.

Moira's Languages

Moira is able to conduct counselling in both English and Tagalog.
