About Bhavani Deva

Bhavani believes in establishing a strong therapeutic alliance as a foundation for meaningful and effective therapy, where individuals feels safe, not judged, heard and understood. 

Bhavani Deva is a licensed and registered Clinical Psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society. In addition to working as a psychologist in a private practice, Bhavani has worked in the Institute of Mental Health Singapore (IMH), hospital, community and school settings. She has experience providing psychotherapy for clients in a wide age range from child to elderly individuals. She has worked closely with parents to promote positive parenting behaviours and reduce caregiver stress.

Apart from being a psychologist, Bhavani is also a mother, entrepreneur & artist. She enjoys practicing healthy and optimistic living.

Bhavani’s Approach

Bhavani’s therapeutic style is one that is warm, empathetic and collaborative. With a focus on deeper self-understanding, individuals will be able to make sense of how their life experiences has shaped and continues to influence their thoughts, beliefs, feelings and behaviours.

Being trained in a variety of psychotherapies (Psychodynamic, CBT, ACT, SCHEMA, DBT & Mindfulness), Bhavani believes in employing an eclectic approach to best address your reasons for therapy meaningfully and sustainably. Overall, Bhavani’s approach empowers you to redefine the relationship you have with yourself and the world around you in your comfortable pace.
