Terms and Conditions

Dr Kavitha Dorairaj
DPsych (Clinical Psychology), BPsych (Hons.), B.A., Registered Clinical Psychologist (AHPRA), Board-approved Supervisor (AHPRA), MSPS

This agreement governs any psychological services provided to you or other persons that you are nominating to interact with Psychology Blossom. Please read this carefully as it contains important information before we embark on this therapeutic journey.

Qualifications: Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, as well as a BPsych (Honours) and BA in Psychology.

My mission: To work and collaborate closely with clients to empower them to meet their goals, improve their emotional wellbeing, and build a life worth living through a secure therapeutic relationship.

Sessions: The first 2-4 sessions will involve history taking and learning about your presenting difficulties. Where relevant, you may be asked to complete questionnaires to facilitate the process. During this time, I encourage you to determine if you would like to work with me therapeutically and if I am the best fit for your needs and goals. Once we agree on goals, we will collaboratively determine a treatment plan. Typically, this involves weekly sessions with a review of the progress at appropriate intervals. Once we agree to a regular time, this slot will be set aside for you in my calendar.

We consider that the data we collect and record from you is true and accurate. Your personal data will be stored in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act. You can request to update this data at any point in the future. In the event that you choose to conceal certain information, please be mindful that this may have adverse effects on your therapy progress.

Your personal information will remain confidential and only disclosed to a third party with your permission, or if required by law or a court order. In addition, Psychology Blossom preserves the right to alert authorities if there is perceived risk of serious harm to yourself or others, information regarding the abuse of minors, in the event of a medical emergency, or to collect unpaid fees to Psychology Blossom Pte. Ltd. All materials remain the property of Psychology Blossom.

Therapy sessions are typically scheduled for 50mins with a fee of SGD295 per session. Extensions to your therapy sessions are calculated in blocks of 15mins, unless you have made a different agreement with your therapist. Matters such as rescheduling therapy, checking homework, and discussing admin matters are considered as part of the therapy session. Please consult with your therapist or admin staff for the different rates that may apply for atypical services, such as extended sessions, outcalls and writing reports. Such fees are calculated as a function of time and day, venue (e.g. outcalls), and the nature of the services that are provided. New rates, if any, shall be applied to clients who have not had a session in 3 months or more.

Please be punctual for your appointments as your sessions continue to conclude at the scheduled time in the event that you arrive late. This is due to back-to-back bookings that are the norm in psychotherapy.

For cancellations or rescheduling, please note our requirement of minimum notice of 48 hours. Our policy is that cancellations made in less than our notice period incur a 100% fee (unless a special arrangement has been made with your therapist.)

We encourage you to commit to sessions and if you are unable to attend, please prioritise rescheduling to allow for continuity of the work. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, the termination of this agreement will require two sessions notice to be sent via email to your therapist ([email protected]). This is to allow for an appropriate wrap-up and ending to the work.

You agree that Psychology Blossom is not responsible for any loss you suffer, of any nature, from the use of Psychology Blossom’s website or our psychological services. We exclude from any loss liability to the fullest extent permitted by law. We expressly disclaim any liability for any omission, inaccuracy, error, or misstatement in the content or materials that are provided to you or posted on our website psychologyblossom.com.

Due to the nature of my work, I may not be immediately available by telephone or email. I will return your email on the same day, with the exception of evenings, weekends or holidays. If I will be unavailable for an extended period of time, where clinically necessary, I will provide you with the name of a colleague to contact. If you need support more urgently, please proceed to A&E at your nearest hospital or contact the 24-hour Helpline of the Institute of Mental Health on 6389 2222.
