About Natasha Chainani
Natasha is a counsellor-in-training at Psychology Blossom, where she is committed to empowering her clients to develop self-awareness, coping skills and the confidence to navigate life’s many transitions.
Natasha has lived in Singapore since 2006, across two stints – initially as a high school student in an international school, and thereafter in the corporate world before setting forth to pursue her passion in counselling. She studied and lived in the USA and the UK in between for five years. Drawing from these diverse and culturally rich experiences, Natasha brings broad yet deep insights, cultural sensitivity and strong interpersonal skills to her sessions. As a Third Culture Kid herself, Natasha is passionate about supporting not only expatriates through their transition into Singapore, but also fostering growth and resilience in today’s globally-connected young adults and youth.
Deeply rooted in the philosophy that change is the only constant and that growth is a continuous process, Natasha seeks to help her clients to cope through life’s ups and downs with grit, authenticity and self-compassion. As well, Natasha believes that undertaking an inward journey to better understand oneself and their values is critical for wellbeing and is committed to guiding her clients on this journey.
Having benefited from therapy herself, Natasha understands the importance of having a therapist guide you on your journey towards healing. Natasha hopes to spread the message that therapy is not just for management and treatment of poor mental health, but also for positive wellbeing. Her background has also allowed Natasha to understand the challenges and demands of today’s education pathways and the corporate world, and is a passionate advocate for youth mental health and workplace wellbeing.
Outside of counselling, Natasha enjoys spending time with her dog and family, exploring creative outlets like cooking, reading, writing, and keeping in sync with the latest mental health initiatives. Natasha is also dedicated to her personal and professional growth, and continually engages in training and workshops to stay informed on the latest therapeutic practices.
