Booking, cancellation, payment & refund policy
Psychology Blossom provides quality Psychology care to all our Clients in a timely manner. Late arrivals, late cancellations, and missed appointments directly impact the therapists’ time and ability to be remunerated for their time, as therapists are paid per client hours. As we offer a bespoke service around your individual expressed preferences, we therefore arrange for consultants to be available around your booked appointment(s).
Please read the terms alongside our Privacy Policy https://psychologyblossom.com/privacy-policy
Psychology Blossom reserves the right to update these terms and conditions regularly. Whenever changes occur, they will apply to new appointments only and you are agreeable to honour any updated reasonable terms without prior formal notice. You can check the latest version of our Booking, Cancellation, Payment, and Refund Policy at this https://psychologyblossom.com/privacy-policy .
BOOKING
By making a booking, Clients agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy:
- A S$50 deposit during online appointment booking is to be paid via PlatoPay. The balance of your appointment fee must be paid once your appointment is completed. We accept cash, PayNow, PlatoPay, or card payments (administrative charges apply).
- Clients are required to complete the intake form, provide accurate personal information when making a booking, with a credit/debit card encrypted on your file. Psychology Blossom will not charge the card without prior notification, unless it is outstanding for more than 24 hours after your invoiced due-by-date threshold is reached.
- Appointments will only be confirmed once a card is encrypted on your file with us.
- The Client is agreeable to the selected therapist’s rates prior to booking a session. Please view <our team link> for the individual therapist rates.
- Clients booking the appointment must be 18 years of age or older. Clients below age 18 are required to provide us with parental/guardian consent prior to booking a session. If you are a parent or guardian who would like an appointment for your child/ward, please enquire directly with us.
- Clients are strongly recommended to arrive on time for their appointments. Late arrivals result in reduced therapy time as other Clients have already been scheduled for the subsequent therapy blocks, or as Therapists have personal plans outside the exact scheduled session timings.
- Clients are responsible for cancelling or rescheduling appointments at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. Failure to cancel or reschedule within this timeframe results in a session fee fully charged to the Client.
- If a Client is unable to attend their scheduled appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, they should inform Psychology Blossom via WhatsApp or call as soon as possible to reschedule the appointment and to potentially avoid cancellation fees (refer to cancellation policy below).
- If a Client is unable to come to the clinic in person for unforeseen circumstances, we strongly recommend that they attend their session online instead, by promptly informing the admin team of the switch to online therapy for that day. This will result in no penalty.
- Psychology Blossom reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments if necessary, in cases when this cannot be avoided (eg. if the therapist is ill or hospitalised, if the therapy premises are unavailable). Clients will be notified as soon as possible in the event of a cancellation or rescheduling.
CANCELLATION
We understand that circumstances change, and you may need to cancel an appointment.
As such, we respectfully ask that you give us a 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel or rearrange an appointment, otherwise these impact on our clinic staff. The notice of cancellation will only be effective from the time that it has been received. In the event of non-attendance or out of the 48 hours window, your deposit will be fully forfeited, and you will be billed the full session fee.
Penalty waivers and exceptions may be made in the case of emergencies or extenuating circumstances, with proof of evidence within 24 hours of cancellation.
PAYMENT
We strive to contain costs and maintain our commitment to excellence in Psychology care by ensuring that every appropriate effort is made. Our payment policy requires full payment immediately after in-person therapy, while sessions that are held online or after office hours can be paid for within 24 hours after session
- Before making a payment, carefully review your invoice to ensure that all items and details are accurate.
- By making the payment, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the invoice and verified that the correct items and quantities have been billed.
- Psychology Blossom is allowed to bill you directly from your card on file via PlatoPay, if your payment is outstanding for more than 24 hours after your session.
- Rejected/late payments not received within 24 hours may incur a late surcharge of $50 as part of our administrative fee.
- The invoice is itemised to fulfil all accounting and auditing regulations, in no manner this invoice can be changed or customised.
If you encounter any issues with your invoice or payment, please don’t hesitate to email us at [email protected] with your invoice attached. We are here to assist you promptly.
REFUNDS
Refund Policy is to protect the interests of our Clients and uphold the integrity of our Psychology services. Our policy is in compliance with the professional standards set by regulatory bodies in the healthcare field for a Psychology setting, ensuring that our Clients are treated fairly in case they are unsatisfied with their experience or outcomes.
- Any refund requests will be considered strictly on a case-by-case basis.
- Packages, workshops or talks with third party vendors, are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
PACKAGES
- Packages are strictly not refundable or transferable.
- Clients will be required to make the payment in full. Strictly no splitting of payments or installments, or by different payment methods.
- All packages are sold in sessions of 50 minutes.
- Packages sold can only be utilised on weekdays, before 6pm, unless otherwise stated.
- Sessions within the package cannot be prorated by credits. If there is an extension of time during the session, the Client has the option to top up in immediate payment for the additional time.
- In the event the therapist is no longer available, the balance of the package will then be refunded to the Client. After which, the Client can choose to purchase a new package for the new therapist assigned or chosen.
- Sessions that are unused within 6 months* of purchase will be forfeited.
(*3 months for Dr Kavitha Dorairaj) - Psychology Blossom has the right to change the package policy, without formal notice. Fees for current package holders will still be honoured, even if the therapist's fees change. New rates will only apply after sessions in the package have been used up.
INSURANCE
If the Client is claiming insurance, it is the Client’s responsibility to check the level of cover and confirm with their insurer or sponsor that their therapy at Psychology Blossom is covered by their policy.
Psychology Blossom does not do any insurance direct billing, or provide administration support for your insurance. In addition, we do not accept requests from Clients for adjustments to the invoice itemised and provided to you due to accounting audit purposes.
