About

Sarah’s journey into counselling began as a client years ago. Experiencing firsthand the transformative power of having a compassionate guide through life’s challenges, she now draws from her own struggles and healing journey as a “wounded healer,” walking alongside others with empathy and insight.

Sarah believes in the inherent strength within each person to overcome setbacks and live a meaningful, fulfilling life. Her approach is grounded in kindness, authenticity and deep listening, creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel truly seen, heard and empowered.

Outside of her practice, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and their two adopted cats. She finds balance and resilience through strength training, long walks in nature, and volunteering at a dog shelter. A passionate advocate for mental wellness, she also enjoys reading and writing about mental health.

Specialisations

Sarah works with adults and teenagers, and helps them in various areas such as but not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Burnout, Life Transitions, Childhood Trauma, Family of Origin Issues, Interpersonal and Relationship issues, Grief, Perfectionism, Self-worth or Self-esteem Issues, Attachment Wounds, Self-harm tendencies and Suicide Ideation.

Qualifications and Experience

Sarah holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology from the College of Allied Educators and is a Provisional Clinical Member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, specialising in Finance and spent several years working in the corporate sector. Her experience in fast-paced, high-pressure environments gives her valuable insight and empathy into the challenges faced by clients navigating work-related stress, burnout, and the pursuit of work-life balance.

Sarah actively volunteers with community organisations to offer mental health and counselling support to underserved communities in Singapore. She has a holistic understanding and view of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Approach to Therapy

Sarah takes a client-centered approach to therapy, grounded in empathy, active listening and collaboration. She offers a safe, non-judgmental space where clients are invited to explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences at their own pace.

Her integrative approach draws from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She also incorporates mindfulness-based practices to support emotional regulation and present-moment awareness.

Believing that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, Sarah tailors her methods to suit each client’s unique needs and goals. She partners with clients to navigate life’s challenges, build resilience and move toward a more fulfilling and authentic life.
