About Anthony Wong

Anthony Wong is a senior psychotherapist and counsellor with extensive experience in the mental health and social service sectors. He holds a Master of Arts in Counselling and Guidance from Nanyang Technological University. Currently, Anthony is pursuing a PhD in Counselling and Psychological Studies at Regent University, focusing on Crisis and Trauma Counselling, and a Master of Science in Health Psychology at Derby University. He is also a Certified Instructor in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy (CTRT) and a QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor. Additionally, he is a Master Clinical Member and Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC), where he serves on the Counsellor's Education Board and as the Assistant Honorary Treasurer.

Anthony’s career spans work in various settings, including schools, hospitals, and the social service sector, where he has gained most of his experience. He is a Certified Substance Abuse Counsellor (CSAC) and works extensively with individuals struggling with addiction issues. Anthony is a trauma-informed psychotherapist who utilises an integrative approach, including techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), narrative therapy, and the Integrative Somatic Narrative Approach (ISN) that he developed. His therapeutic work focuses on helping clients navigate and heal from their traumatic experiences. He is also trained in Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, Attachment-Based Family Therapy, and Family System Trauma Therapy.

Anthony believes that everyone has the capacity to overcome their struggles and lead meaningful lives despite their past experiences. He has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds, including adolescents, adults, and families, providing support through a range of issues such as:
