Emily Noble is a counsellor currently based in Chicago, USA. She is passionate about helping individuals embrace their whole, genuine selves and realise their full potential. Emily is also well-acquainted with adjustment issues due to her multicultural background and experiences living in the US, Scotland, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.
Emily works with adolescents and adults who may be struggling with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, attachment wounds, emotional regulation, interpersonal challenges, low self-esteem, trauma, grief, transition and adjustment issues, and addictions. She can also support those who are experiencing or have experienced miscarriage, infertility and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
Emily obtained a Master of Counselling degree from Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), where she studied developmental psychology, counselling micro-skills, clinical assessment, counselling research, and evidence-based approaches tailored for each developmental life stage. She is a Registered Counsellor with the SAC and an Accredited Practitioner with APACS. She has taken professional courses in Trauma-Informed Therapy, Level 1 of Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and crisis intervention. Her experience includes working in both public and private clinical settings, supporting locals and expats throughout their lifespan. She previously volunteered at a crisis helpline, providing emotional support, and worked as a Behavioural Health Coach, helping adults clarify and achieve goals related to self-esteem, anxiety, stress management, relationships, and overall wellbeing.
Using an integrative approach grounded in Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Emily incorporates evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness-Based Approaches. She views her clients as unique individuals and tailors her approach to meet their specific needs. Emily is committed to being non-judgmental, accepting, and empathetic, fostering an environment of respectful curiosity.
