Anthony believes that everyone has the capacity to overcome their struggles and lead meaningful lives despite their past experiences.
Anthony views counselling as a journey of shared healing, embodying the “wounded healer” who draws from his own struggles to walk alongside others. His Integrative Somatic Narrative (ISN) approach is built on a foundation of awareness, acknowledgment, appreciation, and acceptance (the 4 As). This method combines body-centred awareness and narrative processing, allowing clients to explore their trauma holistically—addressing both the body’s responses and the mind’s stories.
In his role, Anthony connects with clients from a place of empathy and shared humanity. He doesn’t position himself as an expert with all the answers, but as a compassionate companion who has walked similar paths. By embracing his own vulnerabilities, he fosters a safe space where clients feel seen, validated, and empowered to rediscover resilience. This perspective shapes his practice, making healing a collaborative and transformative process for both the client and counsellor.
His area of expertise includes working with clients of all ages and diverse backgrounds, offering support for a variety of presentations such as Childhood and Developmental Trauma, Attachment Wounds, Complex Trauma, Single Incident Trauma, Depression, Anxiety Issues, Self-worth or Self-esteem Issues, Grief, Dependency, Workplace Stress, Relationship or Interpersonal Issues, Parenting Difficulties, Marital Issues, Addiction and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Anthony completed a Master of Arts in Counselling and Guidance at Nanyang Technological University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Counselling and Psychological Studies at Regent University, focusing on Crisis and Trauma Counselling, and a Master of Science in Health Psychology at Derby University. He is a Master Clinical Member and Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).
Anthony is a Certified Instructor in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy (CTRT), a Certified Substance Abuse Counsellor and a QRP Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor. He is also trained in Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, Attachment-Based Couple and Family Therapy, and Family System Trauma Therapy. He uses Structured Reality Therapy for both couples and families.
Anthony’s career includes experience across diverse settings such as schools, hospitals, and the social service sector, where he has developed much of his expertise. He also has significant experience working with individuals struggling with addiction issues.
Anthony adopts an integrative approach in his therapy, using interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, and the Integrative Somatic Narrative (ISN) method he developed. His therapeutic focus is on guiding clients through the healing process from traumatic experiences.
