Sarah is an art psychotherapist and a movement artist who obtained her BA(Hons) Dance at LASALLE College of the Arts in 2017 and a Masters in Art Therapy at LASALLE College of the Arts in 2022. She believes that movement and art has the power of bringing better life and well-being to people. Sarah also loves animals and spends her time outside of work chilling with her two cats and a dog.
She works with various populations, such as adults, children and families. She specialises in psychodynamic art psychotherapy and trauma-informed care, with a focus on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), particularly for children and adolescents. She specialises in various areas, such as Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Trauma, Childhood Trauma, identity and self-esteem concerns, Interpersonal and social interaction concerns, Emotional Regulation, Abuse, Domestic Violence, Developmental Delays, Attachment wound, Transition and Adjustment Issues.
Sarah completed her MA in Art therapy and she is a Professional Member of the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA).
Sarah has experience working in both a mental health organisation and a domestic violence shelter for women and children in Singapore.
With a person-centred approach, Sarah fosters a supportive and empathetic space where clients can use art as a medium to process, express, and make sense of their inner experiences. Sarah’s therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that the creative process can offer profound insights into the unconscious mind, while also promoting emotional resilience and self-awareness. Sarah works collaboratively with clients to build a safe, non-judgmental space that encourages authentic expression and supports emotional healing.
