Abril specialises in supporting high-performing professionals navigating stress, burnout, and the internal pressures that often accompany success. Before training as a counsellor, she worked as a corporate lawyer both in private practice and in the tech sector, giving her first-hand insight into the pace, expectations, and emotional demands of high-pressure environments.
Her work is informed by a deep understanding of the challenges faced by driven individuals, such as chronic stress, self-doubt, perfectionism, and the tension between professional achievement and personal wellbeing. Abril helps clients develop clarity, resilience, and psychological flexibility so they can perform sustainably while staying connected to their values and sense of self.
Having lived, studied, and worked across multiple countries, Abril also brings a culturally sensitive lens to her practice, supporting clients navigating cross-cultural transitions, identity questions, and complex global work contexts.

Abril holds a Master of Counselling from Monash University, Australia, and has completed Level 1 Narrative Therapy training at the Dulwich Centre in Perth. Her academic background also includes a Juris Doctor in law and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
This combination of therapeutic training and professional education enables Abril to understand both the internal and systemic pressures shaping her clients’ experiences, particularly those working in demanding, fast-paced environments or navigating career and identity transitions within complex cultural contexts.
Abril offers a safe and non-judgmental, client-centred, and collaborative therapeutic space grounded in empathy, curiosity, and deep listening. She integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy, tailoring her work to each client’s needs, goals, and pace.
