Counsellor-In-Training
Chin Siang has been an empathetic listener since he was young. As he entered the corporate world and assumed leadership roles, he has dedicated a significant amount of time coaching and mentoring his staff, on work related matters and in areas of personal development and well-being. With his exposure to the fast-paced and high-pressure financial sector, he can relate to the anxiety, stress and burnout experienced by working professionals.
Chin Siang is keen to work with adults and adolescents, and support them in their journeys to navigate challenges which includes anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship concerns, self-esteem issues and life transitions.
Chin Siang holds a Graduate Certificate in Counselling from Monash University. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Counselling.
He is a certified trainer for adult learning. He has also completed a course on Working with Children and Adolescents with School Refusal and Anger Issues.
Chin Siang strongly believe that everyone can become a better version of themselves, given the time and space to be heard and gain self-awareness through exploring their own experiences, thoughts, and emotions. He fosters an honest, collaborative, and non-judgemental relationship and his therapeutic style is warm, positive, and tinged with a sense of humour.
As each individual has unique and differing goals, he tailors his approach and draws on evidence-based modalities which includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy.
